WELCOME TO
THE HOUSE OF SOMERSET
Visitor Destination just off Junction 26 of the M5.
The House of Somerset will celebrate Somerset, its producers and products. Comprising a Visitor Centre, Battle of Waterloo experience, Food Court, Pannier Hall and Farmers Market, It will also promote Wellington as an independent retail centre. It will be a showcase for food, drink and farm suppliers in Somerset, where visitors can buy produce to take away a taste of Somerset, or consume on site at one of the pop-up restaurants serving Somerset-sourced food and drink.
MISSION STATEMENT
We are inspired by pride in our wonderful County and a desire to connect our hard working producers and their products with a wider audience. We want the House of Somerset to be the Somerset experience - our guiding principle is that everything we do and sell is rooted in the countryside around us and its people.
We aim to establish an unsurpassed reputation as the pre- eminent centre for locally produced goods. The building will be centred around our core belief in sustainability and using renewable energy - a beacon for future development which will seek to promote harmony with nature and its surroundings.
